Biodiversidade Ameazada is a platform to fight degradation of natural habitats in Galicia and Northern Portugal. It's also a tool to study the challenges of this territory and to facilitate the creation of new joint conservation strategies, operated from both sides of the border.
You can see all the information on the platform without being registered. However, data about particular research projects are private. You can register to participate, comment, upload data, create projects, posting on blogs ... You just need to tell us your email and username.
Who can register?
Biodiversidade.eu is a working platform open to all those who have a genuine interest in this field, regardless their knowledge or skills on biology. Whether you're an amateur, as initiated or an expert, you just might register to enter the working section and start to explore all the possibilities.
User profiles
Do you want to collaborate on biodiversidade.eu? This are all the available user types and their options:
1. Basic user
Once registered, you can upload data using the tools to create observations, routes, threats... You can communicate with other users from your profile and participate in discussions. You can also export web contents in .csv format (species distribution, routes, areas...).
2. Advanced user, massive data importer
After requesting an editor to get this permissions, you can upload blocks of information to the database. You must use a csv table that has the same structure as the one we provide you as example.
You can solicitate this permission when you register (checking the option I want to import data blocks to the site) or ask later from your profile. You also have to choose an editor associated with the type of observations that you plan to upload. He or she will be the responsible for validate or edit your contents after review them.
3. Editor
They review the comments and all information uploaded by users, especially of the same taxonomic knowledge area. They validate the observations and give advanced user permissions to those who request it.
You can become an editor if you are a researcher, a teacher, a professor or a naturalist with demonstrable knowledge. If you fit one of these profiles, you can ask us to give you this permissions sending us an email to info@biodiversidade.eu and we will contact you back.
4. Admin
They have access to the internal administration system and they assign permissions to editors.
