Observaciones

Michael Geiser (fb): " Malachius cf. bipustulatus! Interesting to see them rubbing their antennae together! Malachius males have these pheromone glands all over the basal antennal segments, which the females seem to like very much (taxonomists also like them, as they are quite a nice character to recognise the species and the genus as a whole!). There aren't so many photos showing them "in action"!".

    Hannes Paulus (fb): " Males of this species also have a small dent with a special liquit offering this to the female during courtship. Possibly females test in this way the quality (fitness) of the male. ".
