Collaborate with us
Biodiversidade.eu is a platform that aims to spread by means of social participation the importance of the natural heritage of Galicia, Portugal and western Iberia in general, a territory that shares specific natural and cultural characteristics, keeping the ultimate goal of preserving this natural heritage.
This database is presented as a georeferenced consultation point of natural values, conservation initiatives and existing threats in the territory and is also a space where the users can organize projects autonomously in order to involve environmentally active citizenship.
This platform, although born from the BIODIV_GNP project, co-financed with European Union ERDF funds (POCTEP 2007-2013 Interreg call), at present, it does not have funding neither public nor private. The USC research group "Biodiversity and Conservation of Vascular Plants", which is promoting the project, has committed to seek new sources of funding, to continue to make improvements and progress in the construction of this meeting place for the agents involved in the conservation of our natural environment, as well as to ensure the autonomy of the web space so that decisions on the same only depend on the community of users.
Biodiversidade.eu has a section of direct contributions to try to achieve an annual minimum to help address the technical work required by minor bugs and its basic maintenance and go putting the improvements that are suggested by the community of users.
How can you collaborate?
Contributions can be made through PayPal in two ways:

And what is the money for?

Currently, the management of the web is altruistically carried out by members of the research group "Biodiversity and Conservation of Vascular Plants" USC, with the help and suggestions of many members of the community of users.
